He invented several devices while in high school...a game machine you could play that was made out of wood, wire, metal, light bulbs, and batteries... like today's games, only you could not win but only tie. In his senior year Steven was offered a scholarship to U of Idaho under the ROTC program with the US navy and became a midshipman his first year. He spent 6 weeks aboard the USS Midway home ported in Yokosuka Japan....After his second year he opted out of the Navy and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering in just 3 years with a 4.2 average. Steven was coveted by many companies from Maine, Georgia, Texas, but when Boeing came knocking, that was the one job he wanted which was close to the mountains because one of his hobbies was mountain climbing. Eagle scout......Naval officer....college graduate......Boeing engineer....... Steven died of a gun shot wound in Nov 1978
