Curt Barrett

Curtis passed away peacefully in his home in Billings on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015. Curtis, or Curt, as his family called him, was the second son of Clarence (Red) and Lorraine Barrett and was born in Glendive on June 29, 1956. He moved with his family to Billings in 1971 and graduated from West High School in 1974. He knew much success as a high school athlete, taking home state championships for the golden bears in both gymnastics and track and field. He was also an average golfer. After high school he joined the U.S. Army where he served as a sharpshooter for two years before being honorably discharged. Curt lived a quiet life, surrounded by his family.

A small graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Aug. 12 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. All family and close friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice, in honor of Curt. He was loved by all of his family and friends and will be missed. Curt is survived by his father, Clarence (Red) Barrett; his brothers Chuck (Barb) Barrett and Carl Barrett; niece Tracy (Danny) Schroeder; and nephew Clint Barrett. Curt will be joining his mother Lorraine Barrett and niece Tiffany Barrett in heaven along with both sets of his grandparents George and Martha Nieffer and Ed and Lizzie Barrett.
