Warren French

Warren French passed away peacefully July 24, 2017 at Holy Rosary Health Care Hospital in Miles City MT. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Warren was born July 9, 1955 to Irene (Weinsheimer) and Louis French. He was born in New Rockford ND. He was the 3rd child of 5 siblings. Warren spent his preschool years in Brockway MT.   He went to elementary and middle school at the Boulder River school in Boulder MT. In the early years Warren spent a lot of time keeping his brothers out of mischief and for the record Warren was the innocent one. He attended high school in Glendive MT while receiving training at Eastmont. He played football and graduated from Glendive. After high school Warren moved to Miles City MT and worked at the Montana Bar and the Olive Hotel doing janitorial work.   Sometime later Warren moved back to Brockway to live with, and help his Mom and Dad. While in Brockway he worked with his brother on several house moving jobs. Warren was strong and could really pack the big blocks around. In later years, he did some work in recycling at EMI.

The last 8 years or so Warren lived in Miles City at Friendship Villa. He considered the staff at Friendship Villa family. He was proud of them and would celebrate and share in their happenings with them. He was proud of the many awards that he won at the Villa, such as Biggest Sports Fan, Best Greeter, Resident of the Month and Best Halloween Costume, just to name a few. Warren was a big sports fan and if there was a game on he was watching it. He knew all the facts, stats and history for most teams, whether it be basketball, football or baseball. If you needed a prediction of a sports game outcome, Warren was the one to ask. He loved the Green Bay Packers and the MT Griz. This was evident by his door and all the decor in his room. He was so proud of his cheese head and his yellow and green painted walker.

Warren was a sweet, gentle man with a Giant heart. He was a great: friend, brother, uncle and great uncle. Warren enjoyed company and visiting with his sisters on the phone. He loved spending holidays with his niece and her family at their home in Miles City, Michele (French) Mickolio. He loved the simple joys of life: Pizza, fried chicken, Cheetos and Pepsi. He also loved animals. Warren was a friend to many and has left a lasting imprint on our hearts. He will live forever in our memory.

Warren was preceded in death by: his mother and father, Louis and Irene French, his niece Elizabeth French and Sister-In-Law Margaret French and special friend Helen K. He is survived by his sisters, Laura Bishop of Green Bay Wisconsin and Irene Oliva from Chicago Illinois, his brothers Wayne and Vernon of Brockway MT and close friend Joe Pain of Circle MT. He is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. He is also survived by many friends at the Villa.

Please join his family and friends for a Celebration of his life on Monday July 31st at 2:00 p.m. in the Sun Room at Friendship Villa, located at 2300 Wilson St, Miles City MT 59301. If you would like to send flowers please send them to Friendship Villa. Special Thanks goes out to all the wonderful people who have helped Warren over the years.
