John S. Woodruff of Des Plaines, 48, formerly of Evanston and Glenview, born June 6, 1955, in Evanston, passed away suddenly Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at his home. John was a 1973 graduate of Glenbrook South High School. He was a house painter by trade, and a fall from a ladder while working four years ago left him paralyzed from the chest down. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, and spent hours watching his favorite teams, the Cubs.
