The following tribute to Brigitte Hill Chatellard was written and sent to us by her son, Sean.
I took some time and thought over things you could write about her for the site. I didn't really need to think too much because most of the things I'm going to say are in my thoughts every single day of my life.
Brigitte, my mother, was an amazing person. I admired her strength, her talents as well as her kindness and humor. She educated me as I believe in a way nobody else could of done better. I get compliments all the time on how I am polite, kind and how well educated I am, and I always tell them it comes from Brigitte. She ALWAYS thought of others before herself, and she would pray for all the people she would cherish before praying for herself. A caring, loving Mother and wife. She knew how to Dance, to teach Aerobics and Gym, she would also teach English and French. Her cooking was marvelous, and she would also play the guitar and sing with her beautiful voice. We really miss her... She was more then great. So many talents and such a big heart, there are no doubts. But near the end she was in a lot of pain, and she was really struggling, and it might sound cruel to say this but she is in a much better world now. She was suffering and it made that beautiful smile of hers fade away and there was nothing we could do to bring it back. I can feel her with every breath I take, she is in my heart every single day and I am thankful for all the things she taught and gave me. while we think of her we are not allowed to be sad, ashamed or in pain, we have to smile and remember her for all the great things she did, and her passing is only a part of life, and we all must accept it. Since September 18th 2007 She has been resting in the hands of God in a world unknown to us, but we will always remember her for the awesome Human being she was! And she is keeping an eye on every on of us.

Sean, Your Mom grew up right behind our house. Her dad did the neatest thing every winter for all of us kids in the neighborhood, He flooded their garden area over and over again and it froze into the coolest ice skating pond. We all loved it. Your mom was a beautiful skater and we loved spending time at her house. They lit up the pond and played music and it was a great part of my childhood. I am so sorry for your loss. I truly am. Your Mom would be so proud of the tribute you wrote to her. We loved her with you.Steve Wagner
Sean,You mother was one of the kindest and sweetest people I had ever met. She was a friend to me back when I needed one most. Always positive and gracious. You sound just like her.
Wishing you the best in everything you do.
Steve

Sean,What a wonderful tribute to your mother.
I remember ice skating every winter too. Every summer your grandfather took a bunch of us girls camping and fishing. I'm sure we drove him crazy but it was a great time had by all.
I will always remember her beautiful smile!
You sound like a wonderful young man and I wish you the very best!
Ann
