Janet Sheehy (Bolton)

Janet Bolton

Eagle River resident Janet Bolton, 55, died Nov. 18, 2009, at Providence Alaska Medical Center, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Her family wrote: "We will be celebrating the life of our beloved wife, mother and friend at 2 p.m. Monday at the LDS Chapel across from Lion's Park."

"Squirt," as she was known by everyone, was born Feb. 21, 1954, in Denver, Colo.

She was the second of three children. As a child, she was academically talented and so fast and courageous on skis she was known as "The Bullet." Throughout her life, she had a passion for entertainment and was in various plays and films while living in the Los Angeles area.

With her husband, Terry, she also ran a wood-toy making business named "Timberline Toys" for several years before moving to Anchorage.

In Alaska, she enjoyed crafting and sold her products at a local shop in Eagle River. As a mother, she taught all of her children at a very young age how to be compassionate and loving toward others. She was not only a mother of three, but many saw her as a second mother because of her open arms and non-judgmental manner.

"Squirt" will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded by her father, Charles Thomas Sheehy; mother, Mary Margaret Sheehy;

sister, Patricia Anne Sheehy; and first husband, Charles J. Warner.

She is survived by husband, Terry Bolton; daughters, Mara and Cassi; son, Cody; son-in-law, Keith Nickelson; and grandsons, Nathan and Skyler.
