On January 19, 2014, Becky Brown passed away at her home.
Becky was born in Glenwood Springs on January 6, 1956, to Donald and Eva VanHoose. She graduated from Glenwood Springs High School in 1974. In 1977 she married Dennis Brown. She was employed at the U.S. Postal Service and retired after 31 years.
Becky was dedicated to her family, friends and all animals. Horses were her passion, whether she was in competition or just trail riding with her friends. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle soul and always with a beautiful smile on her face and a contagious laugh that touched so many hearts.
She was preceded in death by her brother Donnie and is survived by her husband of 36 years Dennis Brown, her parents Donald and Eva, sister Cindy VanHoose, brother Matthew (Vonnie) VanHoose, nieces Hannah and Heidi Sorensen, nephew Benjamin (Kristel) VanHoose, great-nephew Teagan VanHoose and great-niece Harper VanHoose. She is also survived by her uncle Jack (Thelma) VanHoose, aunts DeAnn (Marvin) Smallwood, Linda (Darwin) Lahe and many cousins.
Becky was a strong link to our family and there are no words to express the emptiness and the depth of sorrow that we are feeling.
