I graduated from NC A&T in 94 and went on to work in corporate for 8 years. I started a consulting company (adolescent development) in 2000 before returning to UNCC to complete my Masters in Social Work. I began completing the requirements for Clinical Licensing in 2006 (have several hours to complete). In 2007, I began working on my Ph.D in Human Development and Family studies (focus on African American Adolescent Males development) at UNCG. I will complete my studies in 2011 at which point I will begin a professorship at a major university while focusing on my consulting career.
I have been happily married for 8 years and have two beautiful children, ages 7 and 8. My wife is a Pastry Chef in the Charlotte area and is originally from Troy, Ohio.
I would have to say the one memory that seems to stick in my mind (as well as all of my classmates who continually remind me) is Jessie McNair and I rendition of the Micheal Jackson video, "The way you make me feel". I still have classmates breaking into laughter as they reflect on the hillarious (yet very unattractive) performance of the then goofy high school seniors. As I look back, it was fun and it makes me happy to know that we were able to make so many others happy for so many years.
