Jim Mullen

James Lewis Mullen, age 55 of Utica, Michigan, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 in Troy, Michigan. He was born on August 7, 1965 in Pontiac, Michigan. Jim was not partying with Willie Nelson or listening to Alice Cooper when he passed.

He is survived by his son Michael Mullen of Warren, stepson Eric (Andrea) Ruthenberg, his parents Erwin and Carleen Mullen of Cheboygan, Mi, his brothers Paul of Cheboygan, Scott of Rogers City and his sister Tammy (Bill) Gilbert of Troy. Nephews; Scottie Mullen, and Joey Gilbert, nieces; Jessica Gilbert and Natasha (Nik) Mullen. Great nieces and nephews; Taleigha, Bryson, Laela, Owen and Savannah. His Uncle Jim (Jan) Clifton of Melbourne, FL. He is also survived by several cousins and a very large group of friends.

Jim loved fishing even though he never caught anything, bike riding and spending time with his family and numerous friends. He enjoyed laughing and enjoying life was always quick with a comeback. Jim installed carpet for over 37 years and was know as the “Carpet Guy”. He was also the guy you called when you needed some muscle to help you with something heavy.
Jim was a Gift of Life donor and his donation will improve the lives of many over the next several years and may God Bless them in the years to come.
