Harold L. Hollar, Jr. died peacefully on October 12, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.  Before his illness, Harold ran a construction company that was owned by his uncle. They worked in specialty construction which took them to many different states. Harold proudly stated they once worked on a six-story project near the White House requiring them to obtain security clearances allowing only him and his workers access to the upper floors. There was no one to take Harold's place in running the company and it closed down.

Harold is survived by his wife, Rebecca, and their three children.
