John Stoffel

John Stoffel, 67, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, died Friday, March 27, 2020 at his home.

John Gary Stoffel, the son of Ralph and Jeanette (Carlson) Stoffel, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 8, 1952.  John graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1970.  He married Nancy Finstad in 1978 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.  He was employed by the Soo Line Railroad for a short period of time before he began to work for American Drywall.  From American Drywall, he ventured out on his own and opened his own business, Stoffel Drywall.  He also worked many years for Cirrus in Grand Forks. 

John was an active member of Hope Church in Grand Forks and was very devoted to his faith.  John’s favorite things in life were his family, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, music, and his motorcycle.  He will be remembered as an incredibly hard worker, an amazing father, father-in-law, grandfather, son, brother, friend, and as a candy dispenser for his grandchildren. 

John is survived by his children, Jill (Matt) Hanson, Rebeka Stoffel, Tony (Emily) Stoffel, Lisa Stoffel (Ross Dudgeon);  grandchildren, Judah, Abel, Haven, Brighter, Kella, Finley, Charlie, Lucy, Nora, Harper, Leo, and Remy; siblings, Sue (Mark) Krenelka, Bob (Nancy) Stoffel, and Laurie (Rob) Raymond; and his mother, Jeanette Stoffel. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Stoffel, and grandchildren, Baby Jack and Farrah Louise Knudson. 

Due to the current health concerns, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
