Mrs. Sheppard passed away last week. 

Brought back many memories of home ec at South Jr high.  The first dress I sewed and many good recipes that I still use to this day. Although I don't make any more dress'. I did learn one important fact, don't use a baste stitch or your sleeve will fall off at an afternoon football game when someone tugs on it. LOL  I always thought of Mrs. Sheppard as being a very stern strong woman.(I guess you have to be teaching jr high kids). She did teach us lots of things about navigating through a kitchen and other things we would need to know in the future.
