Leon Pierce, 57, of Grand Forks, ND died Monday, June 27, at his home. Leon Pierce was born January 8, 1954 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Lewis and Luaine (Brenna) Pierce. He grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1972. He worked for Rydell Chevrolet as a mechanic for a number of years. He married Diane Berge in Grand Forks on November 21, 1975. He owned and operated Star Bus Lines and Triangle Transportation in East Grand Forks. He is survived by his fiancée Rae Knutson, of Grand Forks, 2 sons, David (Katie) Pierce of Grand Forks, Joseph (Casey) Pierce of Warren, MN, 3 grandchildren, his mother Luaine (George) Andrys, of East Grand Forks, 5 sisters, Carlean Evans, of Grand Forks, Dorothy Fish of Sioux City, Iowa, Alett (Harold) Boyd of Norfolk, VA, Kimberly Torgerson of Bismarck, ND, and Tammy Amundson of Grand Forks. He is preceded in death by his father Lewis.
