Winnifred Marian Althiser, 63, of Bemidji, MN died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Neilson Place in Bemidji, MN. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm, on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service. She was born on April 23, 1954, in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of William and Joyce (Lester) Pond. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks. After graduating from High School she attended Luther College, and later the University of Iowa. She became a Police Officer with the Muscatine, IA Police Department, and served over 10 years. She returned to school at the University of Iowa and received a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She helped children and families as a licensed Social Worker in Bemidji, MN until her retirement in 2005. She married Jeremy Althiser on June 11, 1999, in Bemidji, MN. She had a large group of friends online, and was an avid BMW motorcycle enthusiast, who enjoyed socializing with various BMW clubs. She is survived by her: Sons, William Althiser, Brock Althiser, Matthan Althiser Husband, Jeremy Althiser, Mother, Joyce Pond, All of Bemidji She was preceded in death by her son David LeMar, father Bill Pond, and sister Elizabeth Pond.
