Lynn R. Dalen, 54of Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, May 1, 2008 in his home. Lynn Ray Dalen was born on January 15, 1954 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Alvin and Erma (Levorson) Dalen. He grew up and attended school in Gilby, ND then moved with his family to Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. Lynn married Jeanette Pettis on July 12, 1974 in Grand Forks. They made their home in Grand Forks and Lynn worked as the manager of the Valley Dairy Car Washes for 27 years. Lynn enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, playing pulltabs, fireworks and he was an excellent predictor of the weather. Teammates Lynn and Donald were in the 2003 Catfish tournament and Donald caught the largest fish at 24.99 pounds, a record that still stands. He will be greatly missed by all.
