Renee was born to Paul and Dorothy Wickre on June 11th, 1956 in Casper, WY. Throughout her younger years, Renee lived in many different cities and in 1973, settled with her parents and sister in Grand Forks, ND. It was there where she met and fell in love with the neighbor boy, her soul mate and love of her life, Fred Rose.

Renee graduated from Red River High School, Grand Forks, ND in 1974. From there she went on to pursue a career in nursing, graduating with her BSN from UND and becoming a registered nurse. In 1977 she and Fred were married and a couple years later relocated to Bismarck, ND where they started their family. They had two beautiful daughters, Michelle & Erica. In 1981 Renee started working at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center where she made many life-long friends and memories, up until her retirement in May 2018.

As amazing as Renee was at being a nurse, she was an even better wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.  She enjoyed putting together puzzles, hosting family functions, and following her daughters and their families on lake/camping excursions.  She also loved attending her grandchildren’s events from sports to band & choir concerts.  She would even sneak over to visit all her grand puppies with bags of treats.

Renee is survived by her mother, Dorothy Wickre; husband, Fred; daughters, Michelle (Dion) Rahn, Erica (Cory) Getz; sister, Celeste (Jon) Eide; Grandchildren, Trey, Jaggar, Aubri; grand puppies; Bubba, Murphy, DeeBo; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Renee was preceded in death by her grandma, Helen Christensen, father, Paul Wickre, mother and father-in-law, Frank and Mabel Rose, and niece, Andrea Eide.
