Matthew “Matt” Krump, 64, Grand Forks, ND died Friday, November 23, 2018, in Deaconess Hospital in Northwood
Matthew Philip Krump was born May 25, 1954 in Breckenridge, MN the son of Philip A. and Dolores (Mich) Krump. He graduated from Red River High School in Grand Forks. Matt married Kristine K. Sarkela in Grand Rapids, MN in 1979. Matt began his career with Burlington Northern Railroad in 1972, where he was employed until his retirement.
Matt had numerous hobbies and interests outside of work. He was a talented wildlife artist and an avid outdoorsman in both hunting and fishing. One of Matt’s greatest joys was cooking, grilling and hosting family and friends. Matt loved being a grandpa and treasured his time with all of his grandchildren. Matt’s faith in God’s promise was the foundation on which he lived his life.
