I am so sorry to hear that Rita passed away. I had no idea of her battle with cancer. I remember her as a fun, sweet person...always with a smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know the pain will never go away...but one thing that helps meand gives some peace since the my Mom passed away from a battle with cancer 2 years ago...

I am sorry as well to hear of Rita's passing. We attended Lincoln Elementary school together back when my family first moved to GI back in 1968. Didn't have contact with her again until high school and then just passing in the halls. I am guessing that she and Shane were married? Such a loss for everyone. I am sure as we are all aging, we will see more names in the memory list. Again, sorry for Rita's loss, I am sure she is sorely missed. Linda Merritt Waldhelm
I'm so sorry to hear of Rita's passing. She and I grew up together and lived just a couple of houses apart. I spent a lot of time at her house hanging out with her brothers Marc & Tom. I have very fond childhood memories of her whole famliy. Again, I'm very sorry for her loss. My deepest sympathies to Shane and her family.
Rita & Shane were one of the "couples" that were the true high school sweethearts. I remember Rita & Shane attending Phil's & my wedding. Rita was such a lovely person & didn't deserve to depart this world so soon. My thoughts & prayers still go out to Shane & the entire family. I will always remember her infectious smile & cute laugh (giggle). I hope that her soul & spirit continue to be at peace. Hugs & prayers to you & the kids Shane{{}}
