I remember the last time I ever saw Kurt shortly before he died. I was dragging North Avenue my recently acquired 1967 Pontiac Firebird when he pulled up beside us at a red light. He said "nice car." In just a few days he was killed.
In an interesting twist of fate, my first husband who I met later, Darrell Zarlingo, was a passenger in that pickup.
