Melissa Ann McIntire-Ferguson, aged 37, of Grand Rapids, died unexpectedly from injuries sustained in an auto accident Friday, August 1, 2008. She is survived by her parents, Nancy (Bruce) Bertelson of Grand Rapids and Jim (Cheryl) McIntire of Kalkaska, MI; brothers, Matt (Beth) McIntire of Grand Rapids and Mike (Debbie) McIntire of Austin, TX; grandfather, Robert Van Hoose of Greenville, MI; many step-brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. Melissa was preceded in death by her husband, John Ferguson; grandparents, Elaine Van Hoose and Leo and Bessie McIntire. Missy had a vibrant spirit, outgoing personality and good heart to all who knew her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Missy had a special relationship and enjoyed spending time with her grandmother, Elaine before her death. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Ada Bible Church (8899 Cascade Rd.) with Pastor Jeff Manion officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the church.
