My sister, Susan Sauer '64, was married to Ray. They had a daughter, Melissa Jane, in 1967. Susan and Ray divorced. Ray did remarry and had 3 additional children. He died on April 16, 1980 at the age of 38 from a malignant brain tumor. He is buried at Madeleine Island Cemetery in Wisconsin.
