Sharon A. Stevenson, 53, of Great Bend, died March 8 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 18, 1956, at Great Bend, the daughter of Elmer and Doris (Crawford) Boyd. She married Larry Stevenson on May 18, 1980, at Great Bend. He survives. She was a department store manager for Wal-Mart and a lifetime Barton County resident.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, of the home, include four sons, James Stevenson and wife Jennifer, Matthew Stevenson and wife Cassie, Craig Stevenson and wife Staci, and Shane Stevenson, all of Great Bend; one daughter, Ashley Stevenson of Great Bend; one brother, Mike Boyd of Colorado; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Boyd.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Pastor Don Paden officiant. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorial fund donations for Barton County Relay for Life or the CKMC Foundation for the Benefit of the Heartland Cancer Center may be made in care of the funeral home.
