Larry Eugene Guesnier, 62, died October 14th, 2018 surrounded by family. He was born in Great Bend, Kansas on May 3rd, 1956 to Jack and Jeanne (Johns) Guesnier. He was the sixth of nine children. He grew up and remained in Kansas, having two children, until 1989 when he moved to Denver, Colorado. He married his wife Patricia Shepherd on April 29th, 1993, when two families became one.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Jack, his mother, Jeanne, and his little brother, Johnny. Larry is survived by his wife Patty, his daughter Jamie and husband Shawn Hutchinson of Great Bend, Kansas, his son Jared Guesnier and his wife Allie Mann of Norman, Oklahoma. His stepdaughter Uria Guzman of Denver, Colorado, his stepson Joseph Shepherd and his wife Lindsey of Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his grandchildren, of which he loved dearly: Isaac, Blayne, Elle, Damion, Jacob, and Eli. He is also survived by 7 siblings, Gary (Margie) Guesnier, Bernard (Kim) Guesnier, Mona (Donnie) Marrs, Becky (Randy) Izzard, Gerard (Debra) Guesnier, Georgia (David) Foos, and Darah (Kelly) Klima; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry was a kind hearted, gentle, and patient man that loved unconditionally. He never had a mean word to say, but could get fired up talking about politics. He learned many of life’s lessons the hard way, but made sure to teach us all to take responsibility for our actions. He taught us how to pick ourselves up, and know that God is always with us, and will give us strength when we need it most. He was a great father, husband, brother, grandpa, and uncle. He was loyal and hardworking, he worked for Dynalectric for over 30 years as a General Foreman Electrician. Larry was not afraid of hard work or getting his hands dirty, though he preferred not to (he also had a great sense of humor).  He was well respected and loved by all. He was always willing to teach, no matter what the situation. Whether it be about God, grilling, baking or electrical work, and he was a pretty good shot too.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Larry while he was on this earth. We are certain that he will continue to be with us and guide and protect us through tough and exciting times throughout the rest of our lives. He will be missed but never forgotten!

Please join us in celebrating Larry’s life, Sunday, October 21st at 2:00 pm. Memorial Services will be held at Crossroads Church 9900 South 20 Mile Road, Parker, Colorado 80134.

There will be an Inurnment at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to your charity of choice in Larry’s name.
