Thinking today that I needed to shave, remembered the old "SPROUT" days. Thank goodness I decided to shave that thing off!

Mike, about your 8/19 post, I don't remember that face-plant at all. Actually, I never played on any sports teams in HS, I think you've got me mistaken for someone else! If you were 149 soaking wet, I know I was *maybe* 125, so I doubt I'd have even been ABLE to face plant you. Anyway...pretty much nobody knew who I was back then, so it's interesting to hear about all the stuff that went on that I never knew about... I still have (and use) the calculator I bought for Mr. G's Physics class!!!

It is great to hear for everyone and where they are at in life. I will try to pop in and see everyone on Sept 12th at The Bar. I have a soccer tournament in Sheboygan on the 13th, I do not want to be too hung over - 3 games to coach, plus kind have to be a good role model to the kids. As I was passing in the halls, I looked at the current teacher board. Scary, only recognized 2. Marcks, I think French or Langauge Arts and Adelbush, gym. I asked the secretary about some teachers and most retired or left 5-7 years ago. A note on Greisinger, his son teaches there and was the Boys and is the Girls JV coach. Thanks to him leaving the Boys job, I was offered it. Talk to everyone later.

Whoops...I meant Greg Christianson, I think. Yeesh...the brain is like Swiss cheese.

Hey Jim,

You still in touch with Doug? We need to get together some time when I'm home.

James * Eland II

Mike, I have not see Doug in a while. Only time I see him is at a GB Gambler hockey game. I know he still does not have is drivers license.

Mike * Schwartz

A driver's license is overrated anyway. I'm angling for a driver. For some reason they laugh at me when I offer to pay them in goulash.

I failed chemistry. OK, maybe it was a D. The only one I got. Didn't have crazy Ray.. had Burns, who had a penchant for making things explode when he least expected it....

Jeff, wish I could be there next weekend. I'm about to deliver this baby so can't travel... but be sure to go to Kroll's while you're there.

So good to see you all, even just here - looking forward to 09!

-Steph

Steph, Burns was a mad scientist. Fond memory on him taking a $20 bill from Renee McWhirter and dousing it with alchol and setting it a blaze. Once the alchol was burnt off it was fine. Then Burns knocked over the uncapped bottle of alchol all over his lab station and the bunser burner lit the whole desk afire. Whole class bolted all over laughing while Burns was putting out the fire. He was a classic man. Also, the the teacher/coach I took over for was not a Greisinger it was Krings. Biology teacher, I think??

Schwartz,

Doug owes me (3) dinners for not getting his license. 3 of my neices and nephews have their licenses now. We had a bet in order to get him to get his license.

How you dad doing?? Have not heard from him in a long time. Our company and Graybar had a falling out about 10 years ago, when the addition to Southwest was going.

Steven Steele * Cawman

Color my nutty...but didn't we all get our licenses when we were at GBSW? If you are pushing 40 and still can't pass your parallel parking test I think there are bigger issues at work. If you lost your license go to the DMV and get another one...if you "LOST" you license capital L-O-S-T (like the TV show)..then well, that is between you and your parole officer...by the way I still can't figure out why they got attacked by a polar bear in season one on LOST. Just for the record, that Kate is like like the island 'ho, she makes (name of fellow '89 promiscuous class mate removed for legal purposes) look like Mother Teressa!

Lost rocks! They took my license away after my head injury, so I had to take the road test again. I told the guy that I had never even had to parallel park, so he let me skip it. I passed the road test twice now! It was weird not reaching for the radio while he was in the car though, I kept telling myself 10 and 2 o'clock. We took a nice drive up on 41 then back to the DMV. It was a ton less stressful the second time! See some of you soon! You would be surprised what I still remember! Thanks again Angela, Mikey, and Mike for coming to see me in the hospital! I still remember the cookies you made Angela! That meant alot to me!

Brian I am glad to hear you passed...sorry to hear about the circumstances. I had no idea. I guess a car and driver would kinda make you stand out in Green Bay, and a golf cart would be cold in winter months and doesn't have 4-wheel drive.

LOST is worse than crack. I didn't watch it season one but borrowed someone's DVD's when it came out and would go on like 8 hour binge watchings. Thank god for TiVo. All I know is if ever get stranded on an island I hope I was flying on Oceanic Airlines. They only let attractive people fly with them--all I know is the last time I flew home on Northwest there were no people I would want to see sweaty and 1/2 naked on the beach for months on end.

Brian...did I ever tell you the story about when I heard about your injury? I can't remember who I talked to. I feel like it was Buehler's mom who called me, and she told me you were at Columbia hospital.

So, in a frantic state, I drove up to Columbia hospital in Milwaukee. I get to the front desk, and I'm asking "can you tell me where Brian Fischer is?" They told me you weren't listed as a patient. Turns out you were in Columbia, Missouri. Damn, I felt like an idiot.

So, Mickey and I drove down to Missouri with your mom and dad. We were staying in the same hotel room together, and back then I tended to have pretty bad nightmares. In the middle of the night I start screaming. I don't remember what I was screaming (Mickey...little help?), but it freaked the hell out of your parents and Mickey.

So, we go to visit you in the hospital. And what do Mickey and I do in our eternal wisdom? We ask you how to do derivatives. Damn, were we nerds.

Jim...my dad's doing well. He's head honcho of the whole show at Graybar, now. Not sure what the falling out was, but you ought to give him a call some time. He always spoke fondly of your dad.

And I'm not the least bit surprised that Dougie doesn't have his license. Damn is that funny, though.

And count me among the Lost addicts. I, too, would love to fly Oceanic. I think I saw a pretty person once on a flight. Of course, I'm not in that league, either (unlike Steele Cawman), so I have no right to complain about the lack of hot people flying.

Brian, I remember coming to see you too, after the accident - but I think you were home already. It was a while after I got the call - I think that was likely from Jeff Ausloos.... I can't remember. But I know that we've all been massively proud for years of what you've accomplished in the meantime!

I have no such excuse for being such a slacker.

:)

Brian,

I remember going to see you after your accident at your house. I was with Edward (of course) and I can't remember whom else. It seems like so long ago. What year did this happen? I know we were in college. It sucks getting old! The memory is shot. It seems like only yesterday we were having parties at my house and others and hoping like heck we wouldn't get caught!

Sorry I do not remember all the people who came to see me, my memory at the time was all messed up. My short term memory was all wacked out! My high jump was on April 30th, 1991. I still remember going to the meet and watching the girls jump, then doing a warm up jump. Next thing I remember I was in a hospital room thinking where am I? My first thought was that my fraternity brothers are good! They are pulling a fast one! Brain surgery, right! Been in the hospital for a month, sure. I was sad the day they took my wheel chair away! You want me to walk? I liked being pushed everywhere! My sister was so mad that I had dropped to 120 lbs and weighed less than her! It was messed up that I could remember things that happened prior, but my short term memory was shot! I went from an honor student to getting a 0.5 GPA (yep one D, one F). Next semester 0.0. My parents still were willing to send me back to school. No double secret probation for this cat! See some of you tommorrow!
It was pretty devastating to a 20 1/2 year old fraternity guy to hear that I could never drink alcohol ever! One can of beer would be like 6 before my accident. I wouldn't want to be taken advantage of in a drunken state!

Have fun tomorrow night -- dang, wish I could be there. I may very well be in labor by then. I don't drink much, but do love foofy drinks -- and if someone has a brandy old fashioned - SWEET - do it in honor of me! ;)

Now, now mike, you need to work on your self-esteem issues!

I am sure you would look fine all hot, sweaty and shirtless on an island avoiding the Others, delivering australian babies, escaping from para-military troopers and making an entire islands disappear. At first I had you pegged for the Sawyer kinda guy, but then trying to make sense of your synthetic hyrogell/enzyme degradeable peptide mumbo jumbo I think you are our super-smart medical guy Jack! Please, I would be the receding hairline, former-Hobbit, Charlie-type and end up "dead" season two (I thnk he will be back this year). Brian can be Desmond with his memory issues! Now we just have to figure out who is the Kate...Kalen can be Sun.

What? There was a "Tycho Brahe" rap...? I should have taken a different class(s). I was forwarded a YouTube rap about the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) - Does that help to make up for it?

ok, i've been trying to remember the song that Mr. Dallman used to sing to us during SSR with his guitar.. anyone remember? Something about a fisherman?

Man, the 80's were weird.

:)

Steve,
I guess I need to watch the show because from the little I see about the character "Sun", I see no character resemblances. :)
Steph,
I can't remember a particular song but I do remember Dallman playing Neil Diamond songs on his guitar and showing us slide shows of his many travels that were timed perfectly to Neil Diamond songs. By the way, have you welcomed your latest edition yet?

No baby yet - but I'm laying odds that he'll be here by Wednesday. Stay tuned!

umm.. Sun? I've never thought Kalen looked particularly Asian. :)

I'm like 2 seasons behind [thank heavens for Netflix] so don't tell me anything I don't know yet.
