i came to greenfield from greendale my sophmore year. joey was my 1st boyfriend there.
my other highschool sweetheart most of my jr. & sr. year was brad memmel class of 1980, he also has passed away. i can't believe 2 people that were so near & dear to me are both gone at such an early age. its so sad.
i remember joey every year around my birthday cause his was aug. 9th, mine is the 10th.
if anyone knows what joey all did after highschool, please let me know.
I first met Joe & his siblings around 1972 or so through Chapman elementary School. Joe was easily likeable.
After high school Joe honored me on a few occasions by discussing his woes and sorrows- apparently finding me worthy enough to consider my counsel. After I had become a 12-stepping recovery fanatic, I had tried to sell Joe on the worthwhile & rewarding aspects from accepting the 12-step discipline "in all our affairs". Alas, it was "close but no cigar". I was given a tragic story involving injury and hospitalization as factors from (a far away Kansas City viewpoint) seemed mysterious yet tragic.
I think Joey died the next year, in 2010. I don't remember him from highschool, but we went to gradeschool together in 5th grade.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in finding a man who recently suffered a severe head injury and has been missing since Friday.
Joseph M. Coloso II, 46, is quite small - 5-feet tall and 85 pounds, according to a sheriff's statement. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
The statement says it is believed Coloso was last seen in the area of Highway 12 and N. Oakland Road in Fort Atkinson.
On Saturday, the sheriff's office and other agencies conducted a search on the ground and with a plane and a helicopter, the statement says.
Coloso's sister, Susan Coloso-Novak, said Saturday that her brother suffered a severe head injury after falling off of a horse Nov. 1 and was discharged from a hospital Nov. 9. She said his car was found in a farmer's field.
Coloso is a Greenfield High School graduate and spent most of his life in the Milwaukee area before moving to Sullivan, Coloso-Novak said.
Anyone with information about Coloso is asked to call the sheriff's office at (920) 674-7310.
