I met Jerry waaaaay back at Chapman elementary school probably around 1971 or so.
By the time High School came around, I had a chance encounter with Jerry only to discovery that he was in a state chemical dependency as bad or worse than I was. He spoke to me about loss of trust & how substance abuse had degraded him in a number of ways. I opted not to "network" with Jerry for future illicit chemical endeavors, given how I could not bear being involved in his (then) sad circumstances.
I have no idea what might have led to Jerry's final demise. All I know is my recall of Jerry, and the other chemically dependent persons I met on life road of drug addiction culminated to help me find the desire & gumption to embrace 12-step discipline & practices until I found better through Jesus Christ.

Rest in peace, Jerry Schultz.
