KINSTON — Betty Lane Baker, 77, passed away in Hornell, New York on Monday, April 6, 2009.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 13, at Kinston Community Church, with Pastor Tim Rausch officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Kinston, N.C. following the services.

Born in Chapel Hill, January 15, 1932, the daughter of Joel and Rena Lane.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Douglas L. Baker, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas L. Baker, III of Greensboro and Joel A. Baker (Stacey) of Conshohocken, Pa.; and her daughter, Nancy B. Bourgeois (Walter) of Cuba, N.Y., by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her sister, Jackie Lane, of Greensboro, N.C.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Monday, April 13, at Kinston Community Church.
