GREENSBORO — Mrs. Judith Elkins Wooten, died Friday, June 11, 2010.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Monday, June 14, 2010 in the chapel mausoleum of Westminster Gardens, 3601 Whitehurst Dr.
Mrs. Wooten was born February 24, 1931, the youngest daughter of Hugh Jackson and Bertha Apple Elkins.
Judy retired from Cone Mills Corporation. She was a lifelong member of Proximity United Methodist Church where she was a choir member, church secretary and recipient of the United Methodist Women life membership pin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Everette Lee Wooten, six sisters and two brothers.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Debra Yother of Atlanta, GA; sons, Everette Lee Wooten, Jr. and wife, Suzanne of Kinston, David Rudolph Wooten and wife, Jane of Seattle, WA; sister, Jerry Elkins Newnam; grandchildren, Michelle and Nicholas Yother, Robert and wife, Elizabeth, Todd, David and wife, Jihyung, Karen Wooten; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Proximity United Methodist Church, 1200 Vine St., Greensboro, NC 27405.
The family will receive friends, Monday, June 14, 2010 at the cemetery from 11 a.m. until service time.
