GREENSBORO — Cynthia M. Hays, 50, of Greensboro died Friday, September 10, 2010 at High Point Regional Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church by Monsignor Anthony Marcaccio. A reception will follow in the Kloster Center.
Cynthia was born July 21, 1960 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of George and the late Helen Miller Hays.
As a child and teenager, Cynthia lived in New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Nigeria with her family before moving to Greensboro in 1976. Cynthia was a graduate of Grimsley High School and the University on North Carolina, where she received a bachelor's degree in nutrition. She was employed as a nutritionist by Davidson, Rowan, Randolph, and Guilford counties. Cynthia was a member of the Catholic church, the Mayflower Society and the Dutch Settlers of Albany, NY.
In addition to her father, Cynthia is survived by her brothers, Robert of Breinigsville, PA, and Richard of Greensboro; nephew Christian of Bethlehem, PA, and her step-mother Kathleen Hays of Greensboro.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, September 12, 2010, 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
