Lamont died on November 12, 1993.

Our classmate David Williams said, "Me and Lamont were childhood friends.We were both born in Pittsburgh Pa. with the same birth day one year apart. We did not meet each other until we both happenned to move to Greensboro and into the same apartment community. we were close until i moved away from the apartments but we still were friends all the way until graduation then life just seemed to seperate us. we would see each other occasionally while out and about and would conversate like we were still child hood friends. When i found out that he was Dead even though we did not have the same close friendship as we did when we were kids i felt like i lost a family member and at his funeral all I could do is just reflect back to all the fun times we had. I still miss him today."
