Mrs. Kimberly Roberts Parr, 59, of Greensboro, NC passed away suddenly in the early morning of May 9, 2024, at her home.

Kim was born in Greensboro, NC in 1965 to Charles and Bobbie Roberts. She attended Page High School before studying elementary education at UNC Charlotte. Kim was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. It was while attending college that she met her beloved husband, Steve Parr. After graduation, Kim served in various educational roles including teaching, curriculum facilitator and ESL teacher for over 30 years. She made a tremendous difference in the lives of children through her work. She was a member of First Lutheran Church where she met many cherished friends.

Kim married Steve in 1987 and they grew together through 36 years of marriage. In 1994 Kim and Steve welcomed twins, Megan and Tyler who were the joy of her life. Kim was a great mother, who never failed to put her family first and was always there to cheer them on and support them in everything they did. She loved the Lord and was strong in her faith, using the strength that God gave her to care for others. Her favorite times were family beach trips to Pawley’s Island, mountain trips to Blowing Rock, travel ball games, spending time with family and dinner dates with her dear friends. She enjoyed making scrapbooks of family photos, had great taste in decorating and could plan a perfect party.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Parr, her children, Tyler and Megan, her parents, Charles and Bobbie Roberts, her sister, Kristie Bailey (Dean), mother-in-law, Darlene Parr, and ten nieces and nephews, as well as multiple brother and sister in laws. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ron Parr.
A visitation will be held on Saturday May 18, 2024, from 1-3pm at Forbis & Dick Funeral Service (5926 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday May 19, 2024, at 3pm at First Lutheran Church (3600 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to children at Kim’s school (Grove Park Elementary School- 141 Trail One, Burlington, NC 27215 c/o Parr’s Education Fund).
