Obituary for Mary Middlebrook

Conway….. 

Mary Middlebrook, age 71, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 with her family by her side. 

Mrs. Middlebrook was born in Greensboro, NC, a daughter of the late Louis Frank and Stella Treadway Lovern. She was loving, caring, optimistic, persevering and faithful. Mary was a member of Seacoast Church of Conway and was true to her faith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked hard but always found time to support and encourage her children. Mary always put others before herself and made everything special for them. She enjoyed cross-stitching, traveling and the beach. Mary and Chuck were inseparable after meeting and had many adventures together. She was an avid college football fan especially when Navy was playing. Mary enjoyed above all things being a grandmother. She was predeceased by her dog, Trinka who was her faithful companion. 

Survivors include her husband, soul mate and best friend of 53 years. Charles "Chuck" Rodney Middlebrook; her son, LCDR Justin Louis Middlebrook, USN and his wife LCDR Danica Lee Middlebrook USNR; her daughter, Laura Michelle Hunter and her husband, Sean Patrick Christian Hunter; and her grandchildren, Caitlyn Emily Middlebrook, James Rodney Middlebrook, Ian Douglas Middlebrook, Evelyn Louise Middlebrook, and Charlotte Evelyn Hunter; sister Jean Lovern Baskin of Blowing Rock, NC. 

Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. 

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
