Founded and became the 1st ED of USDESEA Project Bold, using part of Hitler's Obersalzburg Complex in Berchtesgaden, Germany 1970-1973. Director Open House Straight-Up program in Charlotte, N.C. 1974-1979. Director YMCA Camp Thunderbrid Outdoor Center 1979-1985. President/CEO Charlotte Outdoor Adventure Center and OAC, INC. 1985-1991. Supervisor CPCC Outdoor Programs 1980-1986. Recreation Director Long Beach, N.C. 1992-1994. Recreation Coordinator Supervisor Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation 1995-2010. Working now on several Boards here in Raleigh (NCOBS Veterans Programs, B2S Southeast Valor Games and Wake County P&R OSAPAC)

I met Helen in 7th Grade at Lindley Jr high School in 1959 having just moved from Munich, Germany to Greensboro, North Carolina. She and I became long time friends and were co-workers at Mr. Gas's summer camp. I will alwasy have a place in my merory of our friendship and times together either in the classroom at LJHS or GHS.

Jerry the crew of Lindley JRHS should be well represented at the Reunion. Look forward to see folks. 50 years and a lot of water has gone over the falls. I was able to attend the Celebration of Life for Delane Hooks at Thirsty's2 last Sunday.
