Hi all and yes to YEA for vaccines, and modern medicine - this time a year ago I was busy planning to spend a month at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital to get a bone marrow transplant to take care of the leukemia I had been diagnosed with in January - so today I have th blood system of a 27 (maybe 28 if he has has a birthday) male from somewhere in the US - In July they will ask both me and the donor if we would like to exchange contact info - I hope he says yes as having a 27 ear old blood system at 73 is an awesome thing and has taken some getting used to - Oh the things one can do now with a 27 year old blood system but with 73 years of wisdom to ignore when the alternative is much more fun - ha ha - if you get a chance, get a bone marrow stem cell transplant - takes several months to recover but WOW what a difference a year has made, and if I had to be secluded until my immune system was back up and running, what better way to do it than when everyone else is stuck inside so I don't feel like I missed much - I'll have to come to the next reunion and show off my black hair if it sticks around - could be from chemo and if so will likely revery to gray, but if it's his DNA asserting itself, it may stick around for years - I'm having to get used to my dark roots and the next haircut may get rid of most of the gray - we shall see. Hope everyone else is doing fantastic - off to hike some more of the Appalachian Trail this summer
