David and I were neighbors and friends. He lived just a few doors down on the same street, on which we played many games together. We "build" forts and tree houses in the nearby woods and went fishing at the pond (Pomona) and were in the Cub and Boy Scouts together on Spring Garden. He was in our "He Man Woman's Haters Club" ( ala Little Rascals). We would wrestle and he would always pin me down and make me say "uncle" as he had a distinct advantage over me. I did not see him after high school as I went into the Navy. Not until our last Grimsley reunion. He joined us there, the third graders from Braxton Craven in a photo which I cherish. I will always remember David as a close friend of my youth.
