Duane Needham

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Jerry Duane Needham, 34, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at his home.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Gwyn Hile-Needham and son, Eric Richard Hile of the home; his parents, Floyd Harold and Doris Yvonne Harris Needham of Greensboro; and a sister, Kimberly Gayle Needham of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo.

Mr. Needham was born Aug. 3, 1969, in Cape Canaveral, Fla., a son of Floyd Harold and Doris Yvonne Harris Needham of Greensboro. He attended Western Guilford High School, Grimsley Senior High School, North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, UNC-Greensboro and Wake Forest University Babcock Graduate School of Management.

He was a member of Gate City Masonic Lodge, Greensboro Scottish Rite, National Eagle Scout Association, Information Systems Audit and Control Association, International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Information Systems Forensics Association. He was employed by Cable & Wireless USA in Cary as an Internet security engineer.

A memorial service will be conducted 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Cystic Fibrosis Research, c/o Wake Forest School of Medicine, Medical Center Boulevard., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
