Mr. Rodger Bryan Jordan October 30, 1942 - February 13, 2014 Rodger Bryan Jordan, 71, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 13, 2014 at his home in Harrisville. Visitation will be Friday, February 21st from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 22nd at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior. Dr. Charles Moore and Rev. David Slaughter will officiate. Rodger was born in Hollandale, MS on October 30, 1942 and raised in Greenville, MS and then moved to Harrisville in 1982. He retired from South Central Bell and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Rodger will be remembered as a “Fix-It Man”. He enjoyed being in his shop and was always tinkering with something whether it be cars, tractors, phones; anything mechanical. He was helpful with his neighbors and loved his large family. To his grandchildren, he was and will always be “Paw Paw”. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parent and a brother. He was survived by his wife of 44 years, Phyllis Jordan of Harrisville; son, Thomas Bryan Jordan (Rhonda) of Crystal Springs; daughter, Tamela Sharpe (Joe) of Thomasville, GA, and four grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother and four sisters.

Carolyn Medlin (Criddle)

I was Rodger's neighbor,  in high school. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.. Our family's knew each other well. Katherine, I hope you read this, because you helped me with home work alot, as you were a class or two ahead of me..  I know you will all miss Rodger and again I'm so sorry for your loss..

Robert Hunter Klein

Rodger was a real gentleman.  May he rest in peace and the knowledge that he will be sorely missed.  Good bye, Rodger.  God bless you and your fine family.  Sincerely, Bob Klein
