Billy Gene Ray, 80, of Greenville, died Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Pinnacle in Greenville.
He was born August 21st, 1940 in Tutweiler; the son of Virginia Inez Cummings Ray and Edgar Otis Ray.

He is a graduate of Greenville High School; and is a veteran of the United States Army.

He married Beverly Raine Ray on June 3, 1967. He worked as an electrical technician in the surveillance industry at Silver Lake Space Surveillance in Hollandale.

He is a member of Restoration Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Patrician Ann Cantrell of Hattiesburg; sister, Levelle Williams of Greenville; and one grandchild, Hannah Raine Cantrell.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 18th, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Interment will immediately follow.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, March 18th, 2021 at Mortimer Funeral Home.
