I like to think oif Phillip as he was so many years ago - confident, happy, and a fan of Buddy Holly. Its hard to believe that his life would become so difficult. Now he's at peace. Phillip.... RIP

Philip was always friendly to everyone and had the traits of a strong leader. I pray that the good memories will be a comfort to his daughters.

Philip served us well as Class President and will be missed by his classmates.  May God give comfort to his children and know that he is now strong and healed again.

My Philip, My Baird, to whom I did bare my innermost tho'ts at times of joy,

       sadness, fear, surprise, shock, disloyalty...

I shall miss him and choose to remember the little under-the-breath opines

that brought me to my knees either with laughter or a real need for prayer.

He named me, "Sonnie Doo Bugger," in lieu of Bonnie Sue Dugger

and called me that whenever we spoke on the phone even in his waning years.

I know his life was so difficult losing a child, a brother, a sister, then the love of his life Lynda.

I am so glad he had family and such close friends as the Alexanders with him

at the end of his struggles to reconcile his body and spirit for his final journey.

Goodbye, Baird.

Though Philip and I grew up in the same neighborhood, we were only passing acquaintance's during all the school years. After the passing of his wife, Lynda, I sent my condolences and we continued to share emails and talked on the phone occasionally. I came to know him as a sensitive, caring albeit tortured, physically disabled soul. We shared many memories of childhood events, school events, teacher's and classmates, tragedies.....and many, many laughs. I treasure the brief friendship we had and I miss him and his emails each day, but I thank God he is with Lynda, Taylor and the rest of his family again and no longer suffering in that physical body. God Bless you, Philip....now you know that all the things I told you about the Other Side are real!
