Vernon is probably best known as the saxophonist and one of the founders of the Krackerjacks Band. He died on Sunday 3/13/11 in Texas. He is survived by a daughter, Misty, a son Vernon and sisters Gail Caison, and Lynn Kelly.
Murphree – Funeral services for Vernon Murphree Jr., 67, will be 2 p.m. on Saturday at Mortimer Funeral Home Chapel. He died March 13, 2011 at Memorial Hermann Medical Center, Houston, Texas. Burial will be in Greenville City Cemetery under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home.
