Marvin Rosenberg, age 73, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Greenwood, Mississippi to Marvin, Sr. and Jane Baker Rosenberg, Mr. Rosenberg came to this area in 2003 from Ft. Lauderdale. He proudly served in the United States Navy and became a computer engineer, having worked for companies, such as Motorola and Data General. Marvin belonged to the USNA Alumni and his favorite activities were fly fishing, recumbent triking, reading, eating southern foods, traveling, and above all else, being with his beautiful grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who will be greatly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Dianne; son, Marvin "Rob" (Kate) Rosenberg III; two grandsons, Robinson and Shipley Rosenberg; granddaughter, June Rosenberg; two sisters, Jessie (David) Schell of Austin, TX and Anne (Sam) Eich of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law, Vivian (Peter) Hitt of New Orleans, LA; brother-in-law, E.W. King of New Orleans, LA; mother-in-law, Doris King of New Orleans, LA; nieces, Susanna (Anthony) Cerrato of Ashville, NC, Amanda (Häkan) Norling of Stockholm, Sweden; Kristine King of New Orleans, LA; and nephews, Jason King and Cooper Hitt, of New Orleans, LA. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with the Reverend Rodney Roehner, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating.
