I did not know Robin had died until just now. Mike Williams and I talk from time to time and I knew he was very sick but did not know he passed away. I played little league baseball with Robin. He was the most accurate pitcher in our league and a great baseball player. We were always on opposite teams. I was the lead off hitter for years on my team and in one game I hit a line drive back at him that knocked him out of the game. First batter of the game. We always had a special relationship because of that as everytime we saw each other we would be reminded of that. I am saddened at the loss of such a wonderful person. May God bless your family Robin. Bubba BarhamLara Mason (Johnson)
As part of my eulogy I memtioned Rob was owner and proprietor, also cleaner of the pool and yard for the Red Neck Country Club in his backyard. For fun you could come partake with he and Val. This was a running joke as his "coporation" sponsored the Delta Radio Hour for months and Valerie was the card holder, since she had been to see Jay Leno twice. He was a good cook and catered the show one night. He was one of the good guys and he suffered a long time awaiting the new liver. We were all saddened when other parts of the body failed. The medicines from years of pain and not only messed up he liver, but other parts as well.
We loved knowing Rob, getting reaquainted in those last years.
