Who were the original message board people? Marilyn, Danny, George, Kenny, Ken, JDW, Susan and Chad, Becky, Linda...??Scooter? I think Danny and Marilyn were the first, weren't y'all?
And who from St. Joe besides George?

I remember the STINK. Per our earlier conversation at lunch last week the Stink story I remember the best is when we got Betty to stand on a huge stack of books during break at GHS. Our mission was for her to touch the ceiling. The books fell and so did she. Instead of helping her up we put the Stink on her. Poor Betty. Scarred for life.
Who invented the STINK anyway??

The 'Clique' (guys from Class of '67) started it, I think.
As Susan H. would say, I musta been practicin' the 'Overture of 1812' in band that day. We need to ask BC if she remembers it. Funny!
And BC fell for that? BC, we thought you were brilliant. You have some 'splainin' to do:):)

I think Johnny M was one of the originals on the forum. Could be wrong as I did not get on until later.
Now that you jogged my memory, I remember the stink. Don't remember details..fill me in.

So glad you are coming to the reunion. I saw your mom at Susie's funeral two years ago. It was so sweet of her to come. I thought I had done a lot of moving...not even close. Maybe you should write a book while you are relaxing on a warm beach and sailing around the islands!
Looking forward to seeing you...

The guys(mostly football/basketball) would be in the front of the school. A 'friend' of theirs would walk up and they would all keep backing up..sometimes form a circle around you.. sometimes they made 'sounds' of some sort too..like hissing? I remember always going the other direction 'cause if it was someone you dated then the 'STINK'
was put on you too..EEKK..Funny.
Anyway, I think that was the origin. It was sort of 'the STINK of the month club' but no one wanted to join 'cause you never knew how long it was last!

I remember checking the forum one day (nobody was getting on) and Danny Hall was on and said someone please jump in. He was tired of it just sitting there and not being used. Being the shy person that I am, I decided to jump on and have loved it ever since. I have learned more about all of you than I would have ever known because of the forum. You can't get to know people in two nights. This has been great and I hope it continues.

I totally agree Marilyn. Love your pics and those adorable grandchildren.
It has been so nice to share everyone's photos..I love looking at the grandchildren pics and seeing some of the parents in them!
I think we will certainly know each other better as adults because of this forum. Sometimes I wish we had two nights to visit instead of a band since it is hard to hear(sorry dancin' machines George/Joe and others):)
Guess I really 'dated' myself with that one.MPA

Heard from Gatorman this morning...He said that he has been on Sabbatical. You know in reality all the things that he supposedly does for a living are just a front...he is really SUPERGATOR!!!!!! I imagine that you all will hear from him soon.

Jobanna...we called Kent "Flush"...I recall standing on the curb at Poppa Joe's and Flush came by. He had a beer in his left hand and he looked at me and said, "Shut Up, Scooter!" and he short punched me in the mouth. Ouch! it really didn't hurt that bad. Funny how Grizzies turn into Koalas with age. Unclaimed Flushman!!!

Marilyn,
I just saw the pictures of your grandbabies...They are so adorable!!!! Can't wait to see you and catch up on what is going on with you and your sisters and your family...I agree, this forum has been such a perfect place to reconnect with old friends and get to know classmates that you did not know that well in highschool. Look forward to seeing them all!!!!

As Marilyn indicated, this forum and site have been a real blessing to me. Even when there have been periods of time I have not posted anything, I have enjoyed seeing the chatter between friends that for to long have allowed life and circumstances to keep them apart. I hope this site can be the rebirth of many old friendships and the beginning of many new ones. It has thrilled my heart to “hear your voices” again and find out about all the good things that have happened to so many of you. You have achieved great things, have beautiful families, and live in interesting places. I know we have all had our burdens and heartaches, but it certainly appears for the most part that God has richly blessed us since that warm late spring evening almost forty years ago. We can not live in the past, but should find pleasure in reliving in our hearts and minds the good times of our youth and innocence. We are all forever linked by those years and by that place that marked the beginning of our journey into adulthood and greatly influenced the people we are today.

Amen Ken! Blessings come in the smallest of things. This forum could not be bought for any price. Debbie, I think I am proudest of you. You have come out so much and are a hoot along with being a very kind person. Thank you Lynn for your kind words about my grandchildren. They are the light of my life. Just their smiles keep me going. I will keep you, your daughter and new grandchild in my prayers. Send us a picture as soon as possible. One question, what happened to George? I know Susan is out of town and will be back tonight. Happy Mothers Day to all the moms. I know this will be a rough one for Debbie B. and Cheryl P. as they just recently lost their moms but just know you are both in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much for expressing so eloquently what I know I, as well as many others, feel about this site and this reunion.

Class of 69
There seems to be something very special about this upcoming reunion. Don't know if it is the fact that we have had this forum to share our memories, with words and pictures, or if it is just where we are in our lives. We have all experienced many more things, happy and sad, than we had 10 years ago. I for one thank the creators and the participants of this forum. Also a BIG THANK YOU to all the people that are still working very hard to make this weekend the best ever!!!!! We do appreciate it!!!!!!
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of OLD,
Doctor says wrist is healing ahead of what he expected!!Guess these old bones aren't so bad or maybe it is just because he put them back together with metal and screws!! What ever it takes ...Should be out of splint by reunion..YEAH!!!
