Great quiet guy. His cousin Clay lives in Houston, and I see him out occasionally. He looks like all the Etheridge's. Everytime I see him, I am reminded of Freddie and his brother, who is also gone. Clay is a very successful senior executive with an oil company, and loves to talk about Greenville back in the day.
Freddie and I were in the National Guard together and we shared a house in Hattiesburgh my first year at USM. There were 4 of us all together in the house. Freddie, Jimmy Vickers from St. Joe, myself and David Kinninson from Yazoo City. Dana Myers, Marianne Williams and Kenny Wells spent a lot of time there and it's amazing any of us survived the parties.
You're right Veal, Freddie was a great guy and seeing his name here makes me sad although I have known of his passing for many years.
The list of departed classmates just seems to get longer every time I visit the website.
