Died in one of the legendary awful car wrecks. Cleve was first on the scene. Just horrible. I remember Stucey as a genuine character, full of mischief, and he had that
"tough little guy" cockiness but a baby face. The irony of his death in an automobile accident links back to another horrific Greenville wreck on Main just over the tracks from Strazi's where Earl Lowe and Jeff Yaeger were in Glenn Poole's old Corvette (at least that is how I remember it) and were racing Stucey. They broadsided a big Buick and Jeff was killed, Earl surviving. Jim Chick and I heard the crash from the curb at Strazi's and drove over there to check it out. I wish we hadn't.

I fondly remember Stucey from E.E. Bass where he was one of my best friends.I always picked on him & called him shorty & as you can imagine he had a few choice words for my comment.Jerry was a funny guy, a good friend & a reaL character, always full of mischief. We both had a crush on Sally Rogers & Linda Coleman & we were always trying to outdo each other trying to impress both of them.I never let him get the best of me though ,although he always tried his best.I have many good & fond memories of stucey. He ,like Jim said he had that "tough little guy" cockiness with a baby face & a disposition that you just had to love.
