Lonnie 'With a Grin' Clemons. Blue Jean Jacket and a great sense of humor and a smile. One of David Burks night rescue missions on Bayou Road one Friday Night. I remember gertting Lonnie in the back of the Ole Blue Fairlane and hauling butt. On to the Rose Oil Sattion on Highway 82 East, Mr. Kinman was the manager - knew him due to Pepsi Cola. Never made the connection of how Dad always knew when we were out, I guess Mr. Kinman use to get a kick out of us. I can also remember when Lonnie broke his leg in the 9th grade playing St. Joe in football - I'm like Baxter Stanley, I can still hear the crack of Lonnie's leg. Lonnie was a fine fellow and a good loyal friend. I heard he died by drowning below the Spillway at Ross Barnett. He died way too young, know he and David are still taking care of folks.
