I remember Charlie as being quiet, but he also had a sense of humor. Hated to hear of his passing.

In my mind I have a picture of Charlie that will always be there.  In it he is always smiling.  Here is a copy of his obituary:

 

Charles Wesley Blanks, Jr., 68, artist, photographer, and librarian, died Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville with his family by his side. He was a lifetime resident of Greenville, a member of St. James Episcopal Church, and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. 

Mr.Blanks is survived by his wife, Debbie Blanks; a daughter, Elizabeth Blanks (Blake) Tyler of Jackson; a brother, John (Babs) Blanks of Hattiesburg; a sister, Helen Blanks (Woodie) Abraham of Meridian; and a nephew, Mosby Blanks of Fresno, CA. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wesley Blanks, Sr. and Vivian Kean Blanks. 

Visitation was held 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Sunday, July 28th, 2013 at St. James Episcopal Church - Parish Hall, Greenville. Memorial services was held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 28th, 2013 at St. James Episcopal Church, Greenville. 

Memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church of Greenville or The Mississippi Museum of Art of Jackson, Mississippi.
