This is very sad, as with any of our classmates leaving this world. But Jimmy is in a better place, secure with our Lord Jesus and free from pain and suffering. Let's recall the famous, consoling words of the great poet and priest, John Donne, "no man is an island; everyman is a piece of the continent, a part of the main." He took his inspiration from the words of Saint Paul who said, "no liveth unto himself and no man dieth unto himself." Our existence and our deaths are observed by the blessed all in one, Yahweh, who desires all of His creations to be with Him when we leave this world. Jimmy, praise God, made his connection and allegiance with God through his confession of Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior. Let us each do the same, not relying on the arrogance of unregenerate man in an attempt to earn our OWN salvation nor the pseudo-sophistication of any type of philosophy that tries to take us beyond the simplicity that is in the gospel message of Jesus' vicarious substitution, by His death on the cross, for each of those who are willing to disband pride and simply believe in and receive His meritorious work as our own.

We will each pass from this life to an eternal life; and it can be more blessed than this tenuous existence full of pain, uncertainty, sorrow, and sadness. The poet ends his poem, as was echoed in Ernestine Hemingway's grand novel For Whom The Bell Tolls with the sentences "never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it (the death bell of the churches) tolls FOR THEE.

Farewell for a while, my friend; but we will see you soon in an unalterable, immortal realm filled with the majesty of our God and savior.
