GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Brenda Jean Abdo, 64, of Greenville were at 10 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church. She died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial was at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Abdo was a native of Missouri, moving to Greenville where she graduated from Greenville High School. In 1968, she married James R. Abdo. She was a secretary for many years and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. W. and Mary Rose Jackson; her grandmother, Rosa Brister; and a brother, Robert Paul Brackin.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Abdo Sr., of Greenville; a daughter, Cindy A. (David) Ware, of Cleveland; a son, James R. (Tiffany) Abdo Jr., of Vicksburg; a sister, Debbie B. Alred, of Nettleton; two brothers, Jimmy Jackson, of Leland, and Ricky Brackin, of Vaiden and two grandchildren, Brandon Ware, of Cleveland and Mia Brooke Abdo, of Vicksburg.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
