I wanted to inform all that knew Eric Emerson of his passing. Eric was at Eastside for 3 of the 4 years with the class of '89 but did not graduate at Eastside. He lived in Seattle from roughly 1993-2002, but was in the Greenville area the rest of the time. Unfortunately, he died just before graduating as an addictions counselor. He was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa and was on the dean's list the entire time. He passed away from Hodgkin's Disease on September 26, 2007 at his mother's house in Greenville. He was 36.

Eric Emerson, Greenville

Eric Emerson, 36, of 118 Gilder Creek Drive, died on Wednesday, September 26. He is survived by his parents, Karl Emerson of Charleston and Margaret Emerson of the home, and a sister, Katarina. Also surviving are uncles and aunts Danny and Kay Moore of Bent Mountain, Va.; Kathleen Childs of Roanoke, Va.; Michael Moore of Roanoke, Va.; Christopher Moore of Richmond, Va.; Mansour and Brenda Emtiaz of Greenville; Anoosh Emtiaz of Key West, Fla.; and numerous cousins. Per Eric's wishes, there will be no memorial service, but we invite those of you who knew and loved him to honor his memory in your own individual, positive ways. The family requests that any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Cremation Society of South Carolina is assisting the family.
